Nuclear Energy AgencyAs an agency of the international Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development(OECD), the Nuclear Energy Agency “maintains and develops scientific, technological and legal bases required for a safe, environmentally friendly and economical use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.” (home) Simple navigation via the Work Areas and the Data Bank from the main navigational bar on top of the page or the Search box located on the top right of every page will help you find the information quickly.
Nuclear Energy Institute“Develops policy on key legislative and regulatory issues affecting the industry, then serves as a unified industry voice before the U.S. Congress, executive branch agencies and federal regulators, as well as international organizations and venues.” (Mission and Activities) Find nuclear statistics via the Knowledge Center tab along with topics that cover nuclear fuel processing, nuclear reactors, industry innovations and FAQs.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)The NRC regulates commercial nuclear power plants and other uses of nuclear materials, such as in nuclear medicine, through licensing, inspection and enforcement of its requirements.
World Nuclear AssociationThis organization is an “international organization that promotes nuclear energy and supports the many companies that comprise the global nuclear industry.” (mission) Check out the Information Library tab for statistics and papers listed under their many categories.
Renewable Energy Data Resources
United States Department of Energy (DOE)This government site provides a wealth of information regarding many different types of energy. Hover over the Renewables tab to access a specific type of renewable energy or choose the Offices tab to link to the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. A link to the Office of Nuclear Energy can also be found from the Offices Link.
U.S. Energy Information AdministrationContains a “vast amount of data, reports, forecasts, analytical content, and documentation”, researchers may use the tools provided which include application programming interface, data query tools, time-series data, and model documentation.
