This page describes three ways to find a specific article. Each method requires different information about the article (e.g. article title, journal name, and DOI).
Enter the title of the article into the OneSearch search box with quotation marks around it. The quotation marks tell the database to search for the title as a phrase where the words appear exactly as written.
Use the following example to identify the article title in an APA citation:
Murray, J. L. (2020). Embedding library resources in Canvas. [article title] Information Technology & Libraries, 39(2), 1–12. https://doi.org/10.6017/ital.v39i2.11863

Enter the name of the journal into the catalog search box.
Use the following example to identify the journal name in an APA citation:
Murray, J. L. (2020). Embedding library resources in Canvas. Information Technology & Libraries [journal name], 39(2), 1–12. https://doi.org/10.6017/ital.v39i2.11863
If Excelsior has access to this journal, then the catalog will list the database(s) where the journal can be found and display the date ranges that are available as full text.

Enter the article’s citation information into Citation Linker. Note: You do not need to fill in all the boxes. Just the article title and the journal name should suffice, or just the DOI by itself is often enough (enter the DOI starting with the number 10, do not include prefixes such as https://doi.org/).
Use the following example to identify the DOI in an APA citation:
Murray, J. L. (2020). Embedding library resources in Canvas. Information Technology & Libraries, 39(2), 1–12. https://doi.org/10.6017/ital.v39i2.11863 [DOI]
