Publishing your OER is easier than you think! Here are some ways you can publish your work:
1. Open Access journals are excellent options to share your scholarly work broadly. Check out our Finding OER tab on the left to find a journal in your subject area. The journal's website will have guidelines on how to submit your work. Your friendly neighborhood Scholarly Communications Librarian can help you too! Reach out to Melissa Chim at scholarlycommunications@excelsior.edu with any questions.
2. Do you have a learning activity or other work stored in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or a similar document type? After you choose a Creative Commons License (see our Using and Licensing OER tab on the left), you can share it anywhere you'd like! You can post it on your professional webpage or add it to your Canvas course.
3. Interested in publishing your own textbook or adapting an existing book? Our ExPress Publishing program is for you! Check out ExPress for details on how to get started.
Scholarly Open Access Repository (SOAR) is Excelsior's new institutional repository! SOAR is the place to go to share your OER with the Excelsior community and beyond. Reach out to Melissa Chim at scholarlycommunications@excelsior.edu to find out how to deposit your work in SOAR!
